Zusammenfassung
Insulin and IGFs are of prime significance for embryologists. They are key regulators of embryo metabolism and decisive determinants for metabolic programming. In a cooperative approach (UA, MLU) the developmental impact of insulin and IGFs will be studied on metabolic pathways in preimplantation mouse and rabbit embryos and on trophoblast stem cell differentiation and placentation. Transfer of up-to-date methodology, established in the partners’ laboratories, will be realised by hands-on training of early career researchers and exchange of senior investigators.
